The TEMPUS Palliative and Pain Medicine Project (PPMP) is a European project under the initiative and guidance of the University of Florence and University of Lyon, with the participation of the Children’s Hospital Zagreb. The project goals are: to improve existing and enable new possibilities in the development of palliative and pain medicine in Croatia, to improve undergraduate and postgraduate education in the area of palliative and pain medicine based on a multi-disciplinary approach, to complete educational development for selected participants who will be able to pass on the knowledge they have acquired, to set up an international collaboration amongst academic institutions and to induce some changes in infrastructure and legislation in partner countries.
